  1. This weight gainer really works. We have tried many others, however this has provided the biggest bang for the buck. Really works well. Two football playing sons, one in college and one a junior in highschool. Totally different metabolisms, but very similar size and strength gaining results. Great product that I have shipped monthly.

  2. I got this weight gainer mostly because of the price and because it seemed to be respected in the bodybuilding community. Muscle Juice was and is the best deal I could find for a weight gainer. It’s really amazingly cheap for what you get in terms of calories and grams of protein.

For that reason I would still recommend it, but I would refer you to the chocolate flavor which I have tried and which I have found to have the best taste of any protein powder, weight gainer or meal replacement. The chocolate really tastes great Unfortunately the cookies and cream is no match. It has little black bits in it which are supposed to be cookie fragments, I guess, but they are relatively hard and don’t dissolve when you shake it up, unlike the other flavors. The cookie bits just sit there, and make it harder to drink. They also don’t taste as great. I usually let it sit in the fridge until they soften somewhat, and that seems to help the flavor and drinkability a lot, but although I love a cold shake, I want to be able to drink my shake right after I shake it, and I want it to taste great.

While this is probably true of many powders I also find the cookies and cream can get stale unusually fast.

In short, get this if you need more calories/protein and you’re on a budget, but get the chocolate, or maybe the vanilla (which I haven’t tried).

  3. Tasted fine – will have to check out mixability though. It seems to mix best by adding a little at a time ~ rather than a whole “clump”. Mix very good or else it can be a little lumpy.

Some additionally added vitamins and minerals would have helped out a little. Guess I’ll have to make sure to take my daily vitamin supplement.

  4. While this is most likely the best tasting protein powder I’ve tried (and I’ve tried many), it isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. There are just over 1000 calories per serving which is great, and there are 55g of protein which is also great, but a serving is 250 grams. To compare, another powder i had was only 600 calories and 52g protein, but a serving of it was only 150 grams. So if you threw in another 100 grams of that, you’d have 900 calories (almost as much as Muscle Juice) and you’d have about 69g of protein (waayyy more than the muscle juice). So basically this stuff tastes good and has a lot of good stuff in it, but it’s partly because they make a serving way more than they should and they don’t put in enough protein. It’s also a little hard to consume all at once. 250grams of powder combined with 18oz of milk is a lot.
